HANDCRAFTED OAK DINING TABLE

___________

The client's brief specified that the table should be able to seat up to 22 guests when fully extended, but also be adaptable for smaller gatherings down to 8. To achieve this, the design incorporated three pedestal tables with two leaves, which can be arranged in any symmetrical combination to achieve the desired length for the number of guests.

The table was constructed using English timbers and finished with a clear lacquer. The walnut oak leaf detailing was inlaid along a boxwood string within the brown oak crossbanding, adding an intricate and fun touch to the design. Each foot was also uniquely carved with a leaf, adding a further element of detail.

One of the unique features of this dining table is the middle table, which can be used as a side table when not required. The drop-leaf side further adds to the flexibility of the design, making it adaptable for different uses and occasions.

Overall, this dining table is a beautiful and functional piece of furniture that meets the client's brief of being extendable for varying numbers of guests. The use of high-quality materials and attention to detail in the design and construction ensures that the table will be a lasting air loom for years to come.
